I began dancing at the age of five in a small community dance program, learning the foundations of ballet, tap and jazz, until the community program closed in 2004. While pursuing a Bachelors degree in Education at Fairmont State University in Fairmont, WV, I found my passion for ballroom dance. For 3 years, I was a member, Team Captain and ultimately Club President of the Fairmont State Dance program, where I had the opportunity to compete at numerous local, regional, and national collegiate Dancesport competitions in both American and International styles. I also choreographed and performed showcase routines as part of Fairmont State's In-House Competition, Dancing with the Faculty, and Absolute Ballroom's Studio Showcase.
After graduation, I served as an intern for Absolute Ballroom Dance Studio in Pittsburgh, and continued to compete Pro/Am under the instruction of Amanda Wolf (Rising Star, American Rhythm) and Dmitry Demidov (Russian Latin Finalist, Dancing with the Pros star) until the summer of 2015. In the fall of 2015 I moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. I currently teach group and private lessons at BallroomUtah Dance Studio in South Salt Lake, and continue training as a professional dance competitor.
