About Love.Live.Dance

Love.Live.Dance is Salt Lake County's premier ballroom dance studio, offering lessons in South Salt Lake and West Valley City. We focus on providing the best instruction by enabling our students to not just work with our own expert instructors, but with nationally-recognized trainers, coaches, and other professionals. Additionally, we offer a customer portal that allows students to track their goals and their progress towards meeting those goals or progressing through our dance syllabus.

Lessons at Love.Live.Dance are currently taught by our two instructors, Samantha Stout and Hannah Smith.

Samantha Stout

Samantha Stout

Samantha has been teaching beginners and advanced students since 2012. In 2017, she created Love.Live.Dance, where she teaches ballroom dance to students of all skill levels and goals, whether it is a couple looking to social dance, an individual interested in competing in DanceSport, or a bride and groom looking to have a one-of-a-kind wedding first dance.

In addition to traditional ballroom dance styles, Samantha is also a certified DanceVision instructor and a certified wheelchair dance instructor through the American Dancewheels Foundation. Accessibility and adaptability are central to how she approaches instruction, striving to make sure that every student has a positive dance experience. Samantha is also certified through the Baricchi Institute of Movement and Art and incorporates the principles of the psychology of movement and instinctive perception into her dance instruction.

Samantha and her students have participated in the Utah Star Ball, Salt Lake City's annual ballroom dance competition, since 2017. Additionally, her students competed in the 2019 Las Vegas Lights competition, where Samantha was awarded 1st place for "Top Female Teacher." Students also competed in and received top marks at the 2021 Snow Ball DanceSport Competition, and the 2021 Emerald Star Ball online events.
