Love.Live.Dance offers ballroom dance lessons throughout Salt Lake County. Lessons are taught by two instructors, Samantha Stout and Hannah Smith.
Professional Competitor, NDCA
Originally from Mt. Airy, Maryland, Samantha began dancing at the age of 5, learning the foundations of ballet, tap and jazz. In college, Samantha was introduced to ballroom dance and instantly fell in love with the performance and competitive side of dancesport. Post-graduation, she began a teaching internship at Absolute Ballroom Dance Center of Pittsburgh under the guidance and instruction of Andrew Pueschel and Amanda Wolf.
Samantha has been teaching beginners and advanced students since 2012. In 2017, she created Love.Live.Dance, where she teaches ballroom dance to students of all skill levels and goals, whether it is a couple looking to social dance, an individual interested in competing Pro/Am, or a bride and groom looking to have a one-of-a-kind first dance.
In addition to traditional ballroom dance styles, Samantha is also a certified LaBlast instructor and a certified wheelchair dance instructor through the American Dancewheels Foundation. Accessibility and adaptability are central to how she approaches instruction, striving to make sure that every student has a positive dance experience.
Hannah was raised in Kent, Washington. She began her training in Ballroom Dance at the age of 14 and won her first national title at the age of 16. At 18, she was awarded a Ballroom Dance Performance scholarship and danced on the Utah Valley University Ballroom Dance Tour Team for two years. She was also a member of Mos.A.I.C. at Utah Valley University for one year. Hannah graduated with a BS in Movement Studies with an emphasis in Ballroom Dance in May 2018.
Prior to joining the Live.Love.Dance family, Hannah worked as an instructor at Ballroom Utah. She also worked as the Assistant Coach of the Ballroom Dance Team at Provo High School, as well as a Latin Ballroom Instructor at Hot Shots Dance Studio.
Hannah continues to teach, choreograph, compete, and pursue independent performance opportunities throughout Utah.
